Kitchen Double-Hung Window Installation

The kitchen received a beautifully crafted double-hung window manufactured from vertical grain Western Red Cedar, a premium timber chosen for its stability, durability and attractive natural grain. The window was supplied to site primed and fitted with four black spiral balances to ensure smooth and reliable operation.

To maintain the home’s heritage character while improving performance, the window was glazed with 6.38mm Artico glass and installed using silicone together with traditional linseed oil putty. New architraves and storm moulds were also supplied and installed, providing a complete finish that complemented the surrounding timberwork and enhanced protection from the elements.

New Solid Timber Garage Door

As part of the restoration, we supplied and installed a new solid core garage door designed to suit the property’s existing architectural style. New hinges were fitted to ensure dependable operation, while the original hardware was carefully retained and reinstalled to preserve the authentic appearance of the garage. A new ventilation grille was also installed in the lower section of the door to improve airflow and help protect the internal space.

Heritage Front Door Installation

The front entrance was enhanced with a custom four-panel door manufactured from Tasmanian Oak, offering both durability and timeless appeal. The upper section features two leadlight panels that reflect the home’s heritage character, while the lower solid timber panels provide strength and classic proportions.

The new entrance door was supplied primed and fitted with new leadlight glazing before installation, creating a welcoming feature that complements the surrounding architecture while preserving the traditional style of the home.

Fanlight Glass Restoration

To complete the project, the existing fanlight sash was carefully re-glazed using 4mm Artico glass. Traditional linseed oil putty was applied to secure the glazing and maintain the authentic finish found in heritage window construction. Restoring the original fanlight helped preserve another important architectural feature while improving its durability and weather resistance.
