At Heritage Windows, we take pride in every project we undertake, especially when it involves the timeless elegance of single light casement sashes installation. Let’s delve into the steps and craftsmanship behind our recent installation in Haberfield.
Material Excellence
Our journey begins with selecting the finest materials for your windows. For this single light casement sashes installation project, we opted for vertical grain Western Red Cedar—a choice renowned for its strength, beauty, and natural resistance to decay. Each piece was carefully primed and prepared to ensure a flawless finish.
Precision Installation
Once on-site, our team meticulously installed the new single light casement sashes, incorporating 6.38mm clear laminated safety glass for enhanced security and durability. The application of linseed oil putty added a touch of traditional craftsmanship, complementing the inherent beauty of the cedar.
Hardware and Functionality
To complete the single light casement sashes installation, we supplied and installed a suite of premium hardware—hinges, teardrop handles, and telescopic arms—in elegant satin nickel finish. These additions not only elevate the aesthetics but also ensure smooth operation and longevity.
Restoration and Draft Proofing
Our process extends beyond single light casement sashes installation. We believe in preserving the integrity of your home’s architecture. This involved meticulous draft proofing to timber double hung sash windows, including careful removal of timber beading and sashes to minimize any potential damage. Excess paint build-up was expertly scraped away to restore proper functionality.
Attention to Detail
At Heritage Windows, every detail matters. We checked diligently for timber rot in the sill and box frame, addressing any issues to guarantee the longevity of your windows. New wax-coated traditional cotton sash cords were installed, perfectly weighted to counterbalance the sashes for effortless movement.
Seamless Finish
Our installation concluded with the installation of new draft seals and timber beading, ensuring the sashes move freely and efficiently within the frame. We meticulously eased and adjusted the timber casement sashes, guaranteeing they work flawlessly and with grace.
